Hello all,
Check out the press release to see what we're up to this week...
On Wednesday 4th August, 2010, the people of the Republic of Kenya will have the opportunity
to express their democratic right by voting in a national referendum to accept their proposed
new Constitution or not.
Recently there have been incidents leading to this historic event where various gatherings
ended in confusion and uncontrolled violence causing the death of some people at one such
gathering.
We have monitored the situation over a period of time, gathering information from a variety of
sources as to the safety and security of our international volunteers currently serving in the
Republic of Kenya.
The leadership of Christ’s Hope International in consultation with the Kenyan leadership
unanimously decided that for the sake of the safety and security of our international volunteers,
they will be relocated to Tanzania for a duration of time during and after the referendum. They
will be staying at the Christ’s Hope International – Tanzania office for this time.
